Hey everyone,
This is the Swarmlord, also known as Harry, ready to be sprayed and painted. He was built during of a large paint/model-athon where I have managed to finally complete my last 8 Devilgaunts and my Tyrant Guard (pics soon).
About Xenos and Proud
This is a small blog about my Warhammer 40,000 hobby. I will try to concentrate on the tactics behind the general game and my Xenos armies but there will be the odd post about random stuff.
About Me
- Xenos and Proud
- Aberdeen, United Kingdom
- Xenos and Proud is an 18 year old from Scotland who has been playing 40K for the last 4 years. He loves the 'under-dog' xenos armies, namely his Tyranid Gorgon splinter fleet, his Saim-Hann windrider host, his Tau Vleastean Hunter-cadre and the newest addition, the Shadowfax Corsairs. Although his tactics are mostly 'borrowed', his painting skills still 'developing' and his luck becoming evermore 'ridiculous' he continues to play, paint and roll in the hope that one day things will get better.
Nice- should look good painted.
ReplyDeletekeep us updated with how you get on
They have a great shape, and I really like the posing. I'd recommend taking a fingernail polishing board or flat rat file etc... to the blades and smoothing them a bit; maybe add a notch or two if adventurous. Mostly looking at pic4 where you can see your fingerprints. Good job getting him together and hand-building those blades though!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments guys.
ReplyDeleteI tried to smooth the green stuff blades over with a scalpel like tool I have but it didn't quite work although it did improve them. They are green stuff covered plasticard for those who are interested.
I have just finished painting him and will get some pics of him and his guard up as soon as they are dry.
