About Xenos and Proud

This is a small blog about my Warhammer 40,000 hobby. I will try to concentrate on the tactics behind the general game and my Xenos armies but there will be the odd post about random stuff.

About Me

Aberdeen, United Kingdom
Xenos and Proud is an 18 year old from Scotland who has been playing 40K for the last 4 years. He loves the 'under-dog' xenos armies, namely his Tyranid Gorgon splinter fleet, his Saim-Hann windrider host, his Tau Vleastean Hunter-cadre and the newest addition, the Shadowfax Corsairs. Although his tactics are mostly 'borrowed', his painting skills still 'developing' and his luck becoming evermore 'ridiculous' he continues to play, paint and roll in the hope that one day things will get better.

Hey everyone,

I have been very busy of late with my exam revision but here is what I have made in my spare time, a Tyranid Prime. Enjoy!

  1. I like it! The monster has a very menacing feel to it.

  2. That is VERY sexy....Nice work!

I've heard a lot of folks complain that 'dual-purpose' units are 'not optimal,' and other such nonsense, but Deathspitters on Sword Warriors and Primes are such a great investment for 5 measley points it's not even funny....

18 inch range, str5, ap5, 3-Shot Assault Weapons for 5 points? AND still have 'evil choppy power'?
    What's not to love?
And what do I give up? Re-rolling 1's on my 'To-Hits'?
And I'll give my Warriors/Primes something to do on all those turns people are AVOIDING CC with them?
Yeah, I'll take that 5 point gun, please....

Just to whore myself out for a sec, part 3 of my Tyranid Debate with Purgatus is up at Best Overall-
